Your responsibilities

• Support the development of Uniper’s Algo Trading models, particularly based on Technical Analysis, here Point & Figure, but also from additional TA methods
• Research and analyse the basic concept of the P&F Model and translate the P&F Model concept into Python language
• Integrate the Python code into Tradesignal, incl. the usage of Tradesignal’s Equilla programming language
• Backtest and calibrate the PF Model components to refine assumptions and model logic
• Apply appropriate Machine Learning tools to identify and isolate anomalies to describe and resolve them
• Support the Market Analysis Technical Analysis team in their daily work

Your profile

• Ongoing studies in the field of data science, computer science, engineering with excellent interim results
• Strong interest in Technical Analysis. Experience in applied Technicals Analysis and knowledge of energy markets would be advantageous
• Programming knowledge: Python required. Knowledge of Tradesignal’s Equilla programming language and C# would be advantageous
• Machine Learning: Proficiency in classical ML algorithms (e.g., Linear Regression, Decision Trees) and optimization. Skilled in feature engineering and practical ML application
• Proficient knowledge of the English language

• Ability to present and describe findings and results comprehensibly

   

• Desirable:  
  • Energy Trading and or algo trading experience 
  • Programming in the context of APIs for AI models like GPT and/or frameworks like LangChain
  • Web and database development experience – GUI and full stack developmen
  • DevOps, Docker / Kubernetes, IP networking and cloud technologies
  • Experience with agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban etc)
