Kiernan Structural Steel are currently recruiting for experienced Welders to join their expanding team in their factory based a few kilometres outside Longford Town.

Main duties:

  • To weld in accordance with the technical drawing.
  • Caring for the cleanliness and safety of the workplace.
  • To cut steel with a cutting torch
  • To clean steel off with a grinder
  • To lift steel girders into position to weld
  • To remove steel beams from workbench when work is completed
  • To ensure completed beams are ready and in position for the forklift to take them to the paint shop

Requirements:

  • 1 years’ MIG welding experience
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or over
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment

Shifts:

Rotational shift work required:

  • Early- Monday- Thursday 6:00AM- 3:00PM/ Friday 6:00AM- 2:00PM
  • Late- Monday- Thursday: 3:00PM- 00:00AM/ Friday 2:00PM- 10:00PM
