As a User Interface Designer you are responsible for ensuring that the user experience is seamless, intuitive, functional and industry leading. You will liaise with Product Managers and System Designers to translate user stories and acceptance requirements into solid designs and assist both Software Engineers and Test Analysts with interpreting and implementing the design and understanding user needs.
As a User Interface Designer you will have a strong connection to users to understand their needs and use this knowledge to create a highly usable interface design and will participate in customer pilot implementations to gather feedback. You are integral part of the Scrum team and will be an active participant in daily stand-ups and iteration planning meetings.
As a UI Designer at UNIT4 you must accept the fun challenge of working with different development centers across Europe and North America and be exposed to different cultures.
Key tasks and responsibilities:

Create the right User Interface for the user in the right way by building high fidelity prototypes and UI, mapping user interactions and iteratively validating with users, in partnership with Product Management and System Designers.

Measure effectiveness of UI design by collecting and analyzing usage data and using this information to further improve the UI and next generation of design concepts.

Validate user stories and designs by conducting user and design research including usability studies, ethnographic field research, user surveys, and prototype testing and staying abreast of the latest industry and design trends.

Make others great by effectively and iteratively communicating UI priorities and user requirements. Be the internal voice of the user for the Development Team.
Job requirements
Knowledge and skills

Proven experience in creating user interfaces for websites and/or web applications;

Able to think in strategies and concepts;

Excellent problem-solving skills;

Excellent communication skills;
-
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal;

In-depth knowledge in the field of usability;

Knowledge in the field of anthropology, (cognitive), ergonomic, psychology and/or philosophy is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (User Experience, Multimedia Design), advanced degree preferred.
Experience
-
3 or more years’ experience as Interaction-, Interface,- or UX designer across a variety of devices: desktop, smartphone, tablets;

Experience with usability studies using eye-tracking hardware and software;

Experience in teaming up with strategy, visual design and front end development.

Experience in software design, as well as a process oriented mind set with experience in user design and research.

Agile/lean work experience is preferred.
