As a Team Lead for Data Engineering, your main goal will be leading a team of data engineers towards engineering excellence.
- Encourage strong collaboration with Product Owners and Tech Leads to ensure alignment of team's efforts with customer needs.
- Facilitate smooth communication and coordination within your team, acting as a bridge between the expectations of upper management and the team members.
- Strive for continuous improvement of engineering practices by fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, productivity, and engagement within your team.
- Deliver feedback and guide your team in their professional development within MobiLab, giving direction on personal growth and skill enhancement.
- Lead the onboarding process of new team members and provide support whenever necessary.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their projects and tasks.
- Act as a point of contact for any issues within the team.
As a data engineer yourself, you:
- Help our customers to become cloud-native and data-driven companies.
- Build reliable data pipelines and well-defined data products.
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architectures.
- Implement and maintain the ingestion of diverse data sources.
- Analyse, manipulate, transform and process datasets of various size and complexity.
- Enable training and operationalise machine learning models.
- Support your team with active knowledge transfer.
- Work in an agile environment and cross functional team.
Requisiti professionali
THIS IS YOU
You’re a seasoned data engineer who strives for engineering excellence in your team:
- You have at least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer and at least 2 years of experience in leading a team of engineers in a data-centric environment.
- You have a bachelor in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering or a relevant subject such as mathematics or physics.
- You have experience in modelling of data landscapes and are familiar with concepts such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Vault, Data Mart.
- You are comfortable working with analytics processing engines (i.e. Spark, Flink), have experience with different storage formats (i.e. JSON, Parquet, ORC), and have a deep understanding of storage systems and their capabilities (i.e. distributed filesystems, SQL and noSQL data stores).
- You are proficient in structuring data pipelines for reliability, scalability and optimal performance.
- You meet challenges with creative problem-solving and a hand-on approach, encouraging the same within your team.
- You inspire your team, contributing fully to your role and motivating others to do the same.
- You are fluent in English.
