Aker Solutions' Subsea team based in Luanda, is an innovative, dynamic and highly competent team that provides advanced subsea systems and services on depths down to 2000 meters. We are now looking for creative and talented graduate engineers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Angolan market.

Responsibilities and tasks

We are participating at EURES "Engineers Mobility Days" Event in Coimbra, Portugal on the 21-22 May.
At this event we are recruiting particularly for our Angolan Subsea Engineering Career Programme.

As a subsea engineering trainee you will be an employee of our Luanda office, but take part in a 6-12 months tailor made training programme in our offices in Europe. The training will focus on building knowledge within our subsea products, systems, manufacturing and lifecycle services. It will also include on the job training enabling real contribution to our business. After the programme there will be career opportunities within several parts of our engineering operations in Angola based on interest and skills.

Your work will include:
• Participation in different engineering, manufacturing and offshore teams based on relevant background
• Exposure to various subsea product groups (XMT, Wellheads, Controls, Tie-In and Structures)
• Gaining insight into our life cycle service bases and manufacturing plants
• Formal classroom training will be complemented by practical training in the key areas
• Assignments will be “real jobs” that will challenge and enable you to make a real contribution to the activities

Qualifications & personal attributes

Qualifications & personal attributes:
• Hold a current Angolan workpermit
• University degree/Licenciatura in Engineering. (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Structural or Industrial)
• Good communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• Enthusiastic and innovative in finding solutions
• Proactive and self-driven
