Software Engineer (M/F)

Responsibilities:

• Create web-based and client applications

• Take part in the whole software development life cycle

• Show technical expertise and handle development/testing tasks

• Follow up functional testing with end users (UAT/SIT)

• Liaises with Infrastructure/middleware teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies

• Employs industry standard best practices

• Involved with the review and submission of solutions designs with the global team

 

Job Requirements

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of related working experience

• 5 or more years of experience writing code using C# or Java

• Core programming knowledge including design patterns and best practices

• Database development and design skills

• Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

• Experience with frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, ASP.NET MVC, VSTO

• Experience developing for Atlassian tool chain products is an added advantage

• Ability to understand business use cases and to independently translate them into technical requirements

• Preferably with experience in writing and consuming REST APIs

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React/Redux is an added advantage

• Good understanding of agile software development methodologies.

• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting and tools.

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines

• Good communication skills in English

•Communication skills in German are an added advantage
