Senior .Net Software Developer

Due to expansion in our Digital Services division we are looking to hire a Senior .Net Software Engineer to join our growing team and help to develop the next generation of cutting edge digital messaging products.

Role Duties & Responsibilities:

• The development of new features, modules and products in the area of cloud based secure messaging platforms.
• Utilise best practices and design patterns to write clean, efficient and elegant code
• Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical issues
• Writing Unit Tests, Behavioural Tests and following Test Driven Design principles
• Assisting with the design and architecture of the core products
• Stress testing and performance turning
• Mentoring and assisting other members of the development team.
• Participating in code reviews

Suitable Candidate:

• A Degree in Computer Science from a recognised 3rd level educational institute
• At least 7 years industry experience as a professional developer.
• A deep knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework and specifically C#
• Strong knowledge and experience of MS SQL including database design, performance optimisation, T-SQL language and Entity Framework.
• Experience of Microsoft development infrastructure including .Net , IIS
• Working knowledge and experience of XML and XML Web Services (SOAP)
• Experience of WCF
• Experience of Cloud Platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge and experience of Web Technologies including HTML, CSS , JavaScript , JQuery , JSON
• Enthusiastic about technology, especially with the .Net stack and JavaScript/JQuery
• Knowledge and experience of working in an AGILE methodology would be an advantage
