SCADA Project Engineer(Network)

For our Offshore Engineering department, we are looking for an experienced and committed SCADA Project Engineer. As a SCADA Project Engineer you will be a central part of offshore SCADA projects, and you will contribute to the offshore development in general. What are my responsibilities? You will create project specific SCADA solutions in close cooperation with the SCADA project team. Furthermore, you will be involved in the process from the start of the configuration phase until the final SAT test has been performed and the SCADA project is handed over to Service. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover: • Design, configuration and support of networks (CISCO) - servers, WMware, WIMAX solutions, TETRA communication systems and IP Phone communications systems • General IT understanding regarding IP plans, firewalls, routers/switches etc. • Take active part in FAT and SAT test of the SCADA system • Technical support to the project organization during installation, commissioning and SAT • On site trouble shooting • Technical support to sales organization during contract negotiations • Identify issues and bring up solutions for improving Siemens Wind Power SCADA system • Knowledge sharing across the organization Some travel activity to sites and clients must be expected (10-30 days). What do I need to qualify for this job? You have an IT related education e.g. as an Engineer or skilled data technician combined with experience from configuration of SCADA, SRO and HMI systems. You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and key knowledge regarding SQL, MYSQL will be a benefit. Preferably, you have gained experience from the wind turbine, power business, an industry company or from a provider of advanced SCADA systems. As a person, you are an action-oriented team player, well-structured, well documented and able to create and maintain an overview of many complex tasks at the same time. Expected work experience of 2-5 years. Furthermore, you are good at networking with a positive mindset, and you possess excellent communication skills in English.
