Alfa Laval Nakskov A/S/ Business Centre Membranes (BCM) develops, produces and sells polymeric membranes, modules and advanced filtration systems for "cross flow" filtration of liquids. Our product portfolio covers everything from microfiltration to reverse osmosis. Business Centre Membranes today employs 100 highly qualified employees. Your tasks: •Improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes to enhance the performance/cost of Alfa Laval’s membrane assortment. •Develop new and improved polymeric membranes by up-scaling from laboratory bench experiments to industrial scale, including optimization of manufacturing equipment settings and quality control procedures and acceptance criteria. •Improvement of existing quality control methods and procedures. •Development of new membranes based on environmental friendly chemicals. •Develop and maintain competencies in membrane design, manufacturing and cross flow filtration technologies through working experience and co-operation with external partners (Customers, Universities, Consultants, Technology Institutes & suppliers) and from participation in conferences. •Keeping BCM’s membrane knowledge updated. Including having an overview of the global membrane development and trends in industry. •Support manufacturing in chemical issues, including safety and environmental aspects. Take into account environmental and legislative requirements impact on membrane development •Perform laboratory analysis. Your Competencies: We expect you to have a M. Sc in Organic / Polymer Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. You have experience in working with organic synthesis, polymers, polymeric chemistry, solubility of polymers and rheology.
