M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Mechanic to join our team.
The role
Based in Mannheim, Germany you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a US Military base.
Prior plant/materials handling maintenance experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site.
This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a Plant Mechanic, working on a diverse range military equipment from generators to cranes and various specific plant equipment in an exciting environment.
Please note, this role requires candidates to hold a valid UK or EU passport.
Essential duties and responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to fulfil each essential duty:
- Diagnose system malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct deficiencies for the following types of military engineer equipment: bulldozers, graders, forklifts, cranes, and rough terrain container handlers (RTCH).
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using technical manuals.
- Inspect, repair, and replace components, engines, transmissions, and sub-assemblies.
- Identify parts in repair manuals and place order request for needed parts.
- Perform annual services on equipment fleet.
- Perform a full range of overhaul, repairs, and services on all engineer equipment maintenance at the field and sustainment level of maintenance.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on various pieces of engineer equipment including but not limited to military and civilian engineer equipment.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
