If you have experience in or with corporate companies with sustainability reporting and disclosure ensuring alignment with CSRD requirements, are good in both influencing and articulating a company’s sustainability strategy and the various initiatives that support such a strategy, and want to make a difference in a company that is critical to the green transition then you may be who we are looking for. At NKT we have high ambitions not least within sustainability, and are looking for a Senior ESG Specialist who will play an important part of enhancing our company’s transparency and accountability through robust qualitative ESG disclosures in alignment with ESRS.
 
Having an important role in enhancing our company’s transparency and accountability
Sustainability is one of the three core pillars of the overall business strategy. Through our products we are enabling the flow of renewable energy to millions of households, and thereby have a significant positive sustainability handprint. At the same time we have high aspirations to deliver ambitious sustainability agendas together with our customers and value chain partners. 
Group Sustainability is charged with both developing and implementing the sustainability strategy in close collaboration with other Group functions and the Business Lines. We are a small team working with sustainability target implementation covering among others Science Based targets with particular focus on scope 3 emission reduction; sustainability reporting and disclosure ensuring alignment with CSRD and taxonomy requirements; strengthening and development of our value chain due diligence processes; life cycle assessments; third party ratings and verifications; and support to our Business lines in fulfilling sustainability requirements from our customers.

The responsibility of ESG disclosure and reporting is split between Group Sustainability and Group Finance. Group Sustainability is responsible for the qualitative disclosures relating to for example CSRD, taxonomy and CSDDD and developing strategies, targets and disclosures within specific material topics while Group Finance is responsible for consolidating and reporting ESG data including external reporting of sustainability key figures.

As part of Group Sustainability, you will be reporting to VP, Head of Group Sustainability and working closely with a team of 4 other skilled colleagues based at our Headquarters in Brøndby and 4 LCA specialists based in our office in Chennai. Requisiti professionali

Experience with ESG disclosures and good knowledge of ESRS is key
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant Master’s degree - e.g. within, but not limited to Business Administration, Political Science, Sustainability, Communication or Law, and ideally combined with +5 years of experience from a similar job with exposure to ESG reporting and sustainability fields.

The selected candidate will have a good knowledge of and experience with working with ESRS and other global standards and regulations within sustainability reporting combined with proven project management and stakeholder management skills. The candidate will also have experience supporting assurance readiness and external audits.. Experience with developing strategies, targets and disclosures within specific material topics will be seen as a valued feature. The candidate will also play an important role in developing content and documentation that can be used for different audiences including customers, investors, rating agencies and value chain partners. The candidate will also play an important role in advising the Executive Management Team, where sustainability topics are often discussed, and the ESG Committee, consisting of Board Members, CEO, CCO and VP for Group Sustainability, on ESG matters. 
You possess extended communication and interpersonal skills which are essential to support your navigation through different levels of an international organization. You are structured, systematic and goals-orientated and work well in different teams.
