We are looking for a neurologist
Would you like to work at a high-quality hospital in a small, charming city on the beautiful west coast of Norway? Join Helse Fonna!
The Department of Neurology is located in Haugesund. Currently, we have eight neurologists (senior consultants) and eight trainees (junior doctors in specialist training). We are now seeking a ninth neurologist to join our team.
The department includes a 14-bed inpatient ward, including a six-bed stroke unit; an outpatient clinic offering both general and specialized services; and an EEG laboratory.
We offer neurography and EMG, as well as evoked potentials (EP). At present, we do not have a neurophysiologist. The department is involved in several clinical research projects. The hospital has an excellent radiology department with MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine facilities, including DaTscan. We also have close collaboration with other departments within the hospital and with the Department of Neurosurgery at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen. Neurophysiology services are currently provided by Stavanger University Hospital.
