Your Responsibilities: Design of cost effective, light weight and robust mechanical subsystems for an innovative electrical vehicle concept Formulating of mechanical subsystem specifications with accompanying verification and validation plans Conducting multi-body simulations of the vehicle dynamics 3-D visualisation of concept designs Constructing of detail mechanical design models (CAD) of subsystems and components Strength analysis (FAE), thermal analysis and material selection Identifying and specifying innovative production processes and assembly techniques Managing suppliers to deliver subsystems and components on time and according to specification Contribute in the planning and executing of subsystem integration, vehicle integration and final system verification and validation activities
Your Profile:
MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Demonstrated capability in using 2D/3D modelling packages such as SolidWorks and/or PTC Creo
Strong technical background in mechanical engineering principles including heat transfer, strengths of materials, statics and dynamics
Experience in mechanical designs and virtual prototyping through the use of simulation software
Your preferred skills:
Experience with modelling with Modelica
Experience in rapid prototyping techniques (3-D printing, casting, machining and sheet metal
Experience in following a rigorous systems development processes
Experience in a variety of production environments involving aluminum die castings, injection molding, extrusions and sheet metal
Knowledge of the application of formal methods to hybrid systems
Excellent command of English in both verbal and written communication
