Can you create and own a market intelligence database for specific market segments and ensure timely update by aligning with internal stakeholders and the external database?

Then you might be the Market Intelligence Manager we are looking for in Danfoss Cooling Segment (DCS), where you will be responsible for supporting strategy and segment marketing functions on an ongoing basis by sharing market insights and knowledge. Danfoss Cooling Segment is one of the leading suppliers of solutions to the refrigeration and air conditioning Industry. The Market Intelligence (MI) function is placed within the central Cooling Strategy function. The MI function, thus, covers all market segments in which DCS is present and provides market intelligence support across the different business units targeting the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.

Supporting strategy with market insights and knowledge As Market Intelligence Manager, you will become a member of the Danfoss Cooling Segment market intelligence function. Your priority will be to keep the Cooling organisation up to date and informed with market updates. That includes following the market news and trends to be able to create data and give input to various strategy discussions.

You key responsibilities will be: •Gathering and analysing market data and translating it into an easy understandable format for specific market segments •Ongoing interaction with key stakeholders (strategy, segment marketing and sales) to validate, communicate and improve data quality to keep it up to date •Identifying and mapping key market trends for the selected segments •Actively searching for relevant news updates from the market •Supporting the development of the MI function – building tools, database and processes •Establishing off-the-shelf data material on competitors, customers and market Strong analytical skills to handle large amounts of data You hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in marketing. More importantly, you have solid experience from a marketing or market intelligence function in a multinational company. You have extensive experience in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. You have strong analytical skills and are used to handling large amounts of data. On a more personal note, you are able to communicate and cooperate with colleagues from around the globe, and are, thus, fluent in English, both orally and in writing. Last but not least, you are self-driven and motivated for adding value. You are customer, process and business-oriented and naturally curious to reach the right level of details.
