Become a part of our Strategic Product Management team in the Heat/Cooling Division

Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Therefore, we are looking for a new Strategic Product Manager to join our Product Management team in our Heat/Cooling division.



With a direct reference to our Head of Strategic Product Management, you will become a part of a small team of four colleagues. The team is characterized by being customer-oriented in order to ensure that Kamstrup stays the best supplier of intelligent Energy Metering and Analytics products, solutions & services globally. Strategic Product Management is the front-runner for driving Kamstrup’s ambitions within solution and service and bring it to the next level. Furthermore, you will join a positive, open and dedicated department where your personal competences and results are key for team success.

A job with focus on customer relations and product strategy

In the newly established position as Strategic Product Manager you will have a central role, where you will work with our product strategy. Based on a deep customer understanding, you will be responsible for building a profitable opportunity pipeline and product road map, covering products, solutions and services within your given area. In the position you will work closely with internal stakeholders from e.g. sales, R&D, market intelligence and product managers as well as with external customers and partners.

More specific you will be responsible for:

  • Uncovering customer needs throughout value chain and building value propositions around product, system and services
  • Defining and validating business opportunities
  • Building innovation/ opportunity pipeline with input from customers, market and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Building product portfolio strategy and customer type roadmap
  • Idea maturation including business case and potentially piloting (e.g. service offerings)

In the job, you can expect 30 travel days per year.

Personality matters

As our new Strategic Product Manager you have a background in either commercial business development combined with a great interest for innovation and technical solutions or a technical background combined with commercial mindset and experience. Moreover, you have at least 3 years of documented experience in converting customer in-sight into value propositions and business opportunities, as this will be a key element of the job. To be successful in the position you need a strong personal drive and the ability to effectively execute projects and initiatives by inspiring and motivating stakeholders from all levels and functions.

As a person, you master the art of creating relationships across a wide range of contacts and you thrive with a wide range of contacts. You are good at becoming acquainted with new things, why you are quick to familiarize yourself with new technology and use this in a commercial and customer-facing context. You pride yourself in your ability to create value to our customers though a deep customer understanding which is created by relations and dialogue. Moreover, you have a structured approach to your tasks, and it is natural for you to work based on deadlines.

It is a requirement that you master English in writing and speaking. Danish and German will be an advantage.
