The role of Junior Buyer Transportation is crucial as it supports our mission to deliver high-quality products while managing our logistics and transportation needs efficiently. In this position, you will collaborate with our suppliers and internal teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation of materials. You will play an integral part in our supply chain operations by developing strategic partnerships and optimizing our procurement processes. It is essential for the requirements of this role to be able to divide your working schedule between Kilkis (2 days) and Thessaloniki (3 days) each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Controls and ensures the smooth delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align transportation plans with production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
- Conducts supplier research and recommends new partnerships with the objective of enhancing the company's market competitiveness.
- Assesses prospective or current suppliers at regular intervals, adhering to an established evaluation process.
- Engages in negotiations to establish and finalize the terms of collaboration with each supplier, and executes annual cooperation agreements in alignment with the company's policy, while also overseeing their implementation.
- Informs all relevant stakeholders of any modifications to the policy and transactional practices of Suppliers, and provides recommendations for addressing these changes.
- Analyses and prioritizes Purchase Requests, assesses proposals, selects suppliers, and prepares and issues Purchase Orders.
- Oversees and approves supplier payments in accordance with the "payment register" and contractual agreements.
- Oversees the resolution of subsequent issues (including claims, returns, and recommendations) and coordinates the implementation of the agreed-upon solutions.
- Ensures and updates the ERP so that the delivery times of the purchase orders are reliable.
- Prepares and manages import dossiers so that they are complete according to requirements.
- Evaluates and obtains quotations, and designates the transportation of goods from international suppliers, as per the agreed terms that stipulate the buyer shall assume the transportation costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
- Preferred expertise in transportation, including but not limited to freight, customs, courier services, and port operations.
- Experience in purchasing or procurement department will be considered a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
