You will be a part of a team that develop and maintain applications used at Grundfos production sites globally for the shop floor operators. All our solutions support the daily work for operators on our production lines to make their work easier and support the production processes.

What is the job about?

As a Software Developer you are developing and maintaining cost effective sustainable solutions, which are easy to use for the shop floor operators in the production plants. You will be a part of an experienced development team, and your daily work is structured through SCRUM methodologies to process the workload.

You will be working with the latest technologies and tools and you and your team will together with experts from our strategic partner Microsoft, utilize the cutting-edge Azure functionality, IOT and device connectivity to production equipment. We are curious and strive to explore new technologies even though we do not know where it will bring us.

 

To sum up, some of your key tasks will be: 

  • Participate in the daily tasks within your Scrum Team: Estimate, develop and test of new features in collaboration with Product Owners  
  • Alignment of IT application architecture with the Software Architect for Production IT
  • Collaborate with deployment teams to automate build pipeline and deployment
  • Develop .NET modules for the next generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to be used in Grundfos globally based on Siemens Opcenter MES platform  
  • Maintenance of existing applications in Azure cloud & on premise, and development of new solutions
  • Software Maturity processes implementation with developers in all department of the IT division.

 

What do you need to apply?

You have a master’s degree in the field of Information Technology or similar work experience. In addition, you have some years of experience with software development from an equivalent role. If you have experience with software development within an agile set up it will be an advantage.

 

As a person you are an openminded team worker. You work with quality in mind and do see the value in unit test and test automation. You take pride in that your code is easy to maintain by the proper documentation you write. You develop features with the end users in mind, so the applications will make their daily work easier.

 

Furthermore, we expect you to have experience or knowledge in: 

  • .NET and C#, MS SQL databases, object-oriented programming
  • UI interfacing: WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET
  • Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, Git, Azure Cloud.

 

It is an advantage if you also have experience with:

  • EF, MVC, HTML5, Bootstrap, MVVM, TDD, SOLID 
  • Integration technologies like: SOAP and Message Queue.
