As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Portugal-based External Sales Representative to develop our presence across European markets. ________________________________________ The Role We are looking for a proactive, technically minded and results-driven External Sales Representative to lead business development and account management in Portugal and other European regions. This role is ideal for someone with industrial/electrical sales experience who enjoys autonomy, is confident working with technical products, and is comfortable travelling to visit customers, attend exhibitions, and support market growth. You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and technical engagement to quotation, negotiation, and closing—while building long-term relationships with key customers. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development • Identify and develop new business opportunities across electrical, industrial, OEM, and distribution markets. • Proactively engage with potential clients through calls, online meetings, onsite visits, and industry events. • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions both virtually and in person. • Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve agreed revenue targets. • Attend trade exhibitions and visit manufacturers or customers as required across Europe. Customer Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular communication. • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer needs and providing tailored technical and commercial solutions. • Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and manage after-sales support in a timely and professional manner. • Keep customers updated on new products, technologies, promotions, and market developments. Market Intelligence & Strategy • Stay informed about competitor activity, technological advancements, and evolving market conditions. • Conduct research to identify new opportunities, sectors, and customer segments. • Gather and analyse customer feedback to support product development and improvement. • Provide regular insights and recommendations to management regarding market trends and sales strategies. Technical Expertise • Develop a deep understanding of ESIS electrical products, systems, and technologies. • Keep up to date with relevant European standards and industry innovations. • Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, assisting with problem-solving and application guidance. • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met effectively. ________________________________________ Requirements • Based in Portugal, with the ability and willingness to travel throughout Europe. • Proven experience in industrial, technical, or electrical sales (B2B). • Strong understanding of electrical products, instrumentation, or related technologies (or the ability to learn quickly). • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage your own pipeline independently. • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. • Valid EU driving licence. • EU citizenship or valid work permit. • Additional languages (Italian, Spanish, French, etc.) are a strong advantage. ________________________________________ What We Offer • Full-time permanent remote position based in Portugal. • Competitive salary based on experience and performance. • Comprehensive training on products, systems, and the industries we serve. • The opportunity to represent premium manufacturers and build strong relationships across Europe. • A friendly, supportive, and flexible working environment with real responsibility and growth potential. ________________________________________ How to Apply Please send your CV to operations@esis.ie.
