Innovative tool shop
Our development tool shop supports all R&D teams under Demant Holding with innovative and robust designs for tool constructions, prototype manufacturing (3D printed, micro-milled and injected).
From time to time, we can also assist, for instance, the facility management department if they need a specially made plastic component. We embrace opportunities for problem-solving!
We have up-to-date machines that can produce parts with high accuracy. You will have the possibility to work with the milling machines (DMU, KERN, Roeders Robot cell), measuring machine (Zeiss-Duramax) and wire cutter from GIE (cut 2000s).
Your tasks will be:
- Manufacturing of prototypes, prototype tools, POM molds and fixtures in collaboration with your team.
- Collaboration with R&D on DFM at part and tool level.
- Counselling mechanical engineer.
- Manufacturing with various processes (electrode design, milling, turning, grinding, fitting and assembling of tool) depending on our agreement.
- CAD / CAM programming.
Some of our processes are very specialized. Appropriate learning goals and professional support will ensure a fast integration in the team. We expect an introductory period of 3-6 months. We have a mentoring program to learn about the practical details and introduction courses to learn about our organization.
Your job is in Smørum, close to Copenhagen with good transportation possibilities both by car and public transportation.

Your team consists of 11 Toolmakers and 2 apprentices; we are experienced, skilled and excellent at helping one another. You can be sure to become part of a good and inclusive cooperation with an informal and proper tone.
Your manager will be Olivier Langlois. He has been part of us for almost 20 years. He knows what you are going through jobwise and will be a good sparring partner to you.
Olivier is the empathic “down to earth” kind of manager, who will do a lot to facilitate your job; he does for instance a lot of the documentation and administration. But in return Olivier also has high expectations of your work ethic, delivery and quality.

You are a trained toolmaker, excellent user of CAD/CAM and have knowledge of casting tools.
You have a high degree of quality awareness, and a structured and proactive way of working.
You are good at working with others, but also like to take on some tasks individually.
