Job Overview
Lloyd’s Register Consulting provides engineering dynamics and risk management services to a wide range of international clients. Our Copenhagen office, which currently employs 35 engineers, is the centre of excellence for Engineering Dynamics. By applying our specialist knowledge within Noise & Vibration, Machinery Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics and Structural Dynamics, we help our clients within the global Energy and Marine industries achieve the full value of their critical assets.
We offer a rare combination of short notice field measurement capabilities and world class modelling and analysis skills.
For our Noise and Vibration team in the Energy department in Copenhagen we are looking for an acoustical engineer specialised in working environment noise, environmental noise, and machinery noise and vibration control. Your work will include prediction, measuring, analysing, numerical and analytical modelling, and recommending solutions that ensure our clients comply with requirements.
Job Responsibilities
As a Consultant you will:
• Provide high quality technical consultancy to our clients
• Travel occasionally on measurement assignments and for meetings
• Manage smaller projects and opportunities
• Identify opportunities for project extensions and business development
• Participate in developing strong client relationships
• Contribute to development of our range of tools and services to meet client needs.
Job Requirements
We expect that you:
• Have an M.Sc. or higher in Acoustical Engineering
• Have 0-8 years of experience. More experienced candidates are also welcome.
• Have knowledge of - and interest in
o Prediction of environmental and working environment noise
o Noise and vibration and control
o Room and building acoustics
o Structural dynamics, FEA, aeroacoustics, silencer design, ray tracing methods
o Labview, Matlab and Python
o Measurements and experimental investigation
• Write and speak English fluently
• Express yourself clearly in writing and speech
• Are comfortable working both individually and in teams
