Helse Fonna HF consists of four hospitals located in Haugesund, Stord, Odda, and Valen, as well as four local psychiatric centres (DPS). Helse Fonna serves a population of approximately 180,000 inhabitants and is located between Bergen and Stavanger on the west coast of Norway.
We employ around 4,200 people whose mission is to provide the best possible care and treatment to our patients – every single day.
Since 2020, Helse Fonna has been responsible for breast cancer screening in the region. This has led to an increased number of breast cancer cases that need to be diagnosed, treated, and followed up locally. We perform approximately 150 breast cancer surgical procedures each year, in addition to benign breast surgery and thyroid procedures.
We offer a strong and active interdisciplinary professional environment with high competence. Experience or expertise in plastic surgery is considered an advantage.

- Norwegain authorization as a breast and endocrine surgeon specialist.
- If you do not currently speak Norwegian, you must be willing to learn the language and achieve minimum B2 level (written and spoken) prior to employment. The hospital can assist with language training.
- Positive and flexible attitude and good communication skills.
