In this position you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and managing upgrades of our system. 

Do you want to help develop the protein of the future, which will make it possible to feed the world's growing population without devastating the ecosystems? Unibio has developed a sustainable technology to produce protein. This technology is based on fermentation using methane as a raw material. With it, we can avoid overfishing the oceans and clearing the rainforest to grow soybeans. We have considerable interest from investors, who want to establish production in different countries around the world and expect to commence several projects later this year and next.

About the Position

We are looking for a curious and stable candidate that is not afraid to learn new things. The role is more that of a generalist, than a specialist. It is preferable if you have a basic knowledge of process equipment, instruments, automation systems and OT systems, but it is not a dealbreaker if one of the areas will have to be learned once you are hired.

You will share ownership of the PCS and be responsible for all projects relevant to this. You must develop and program solutions in collaboration with our automation partner, and process owners and at the same time, when it comes to smaller projects, be able to run programming, testing and implementation yourself.

The main purpose of our innovation centre is to develop and optimize our unique technology, meaning there is not far from idea to implementation. Your task will be to support this development.
You will be part of a strong team, who works together to support the daily operation, develop the technology for tomorrow and, in due time, support our global projects around the world.

What will your task be?

• PCS owner
• PCS development and programming
• Test and implement new IOT solutions.
• Drive the digitalization of our downstream process in close corporation with our engineers.
• Support daily operations of our production at the innovation centre.
• Support CAPEX projects to ensure proper digitalization solutions in our design, with support from skilled colleagues.
• Support the development and design of systems for our future full scale production sites.
• Develop your knowledge to challenge existing systems and solutions.

Who are you?

• You have one of the two:
  • a background in the process industry, with a solid knowledge of production methods and equipment or
  • a background in programming and automation.
• You are open-minded and curious. 
• You are efficient and can independently solve and prioritize tasks.
• You are structured and good at data analysis.
• You can communicate fluently in written and verbal English and preferably Danish.

Unibio Innovation Centre in Kalundborg has a dual function within the company, as we switch between technology development projects and test the production of new products.
