Welders for various projects with Shell Are you an experienced all-round welder and do you enjoy working on challenging projects? Then this position as a welder is perfect. We are looking for experienced welders for various projects at Shell refineries in the west of The Netherlands. Job Requirements • For all welders we have the basic requirement of GTAW / 141 for CS and CRES in a wide range, both for ASME and ISO/EN. • Next to this, we have additional requirements for different work areas: Additional Requirements • Furnace welder: CS, Inc and CRES and GTAW Incoloy P22/P5 and Duplex. Qualifications ISO/EN and ASME are an advantage. • Piping welder (underground): large diameter CS. GTAW 141 and SMAW 111. Qualifications ISO/EN and ASME. • Maintenance welder: often on jobs with little inch welding. Needs to assist with fitting and mobilising. P22/P5 and Duplex. • Shop/project welder: needs to have a wide range basic qualification and high flawless production. • Ability to read prints and construction drawings. • Ability to work with others – team player. • Ability to work independently – minimal supervision. • At least 3 years’ work experience as an independent piping or construction welder, preferably within the (petro/chemical) industry. • At least 6 months’ experience with working in petrochemical environments, or having worked 5 stops in petrochemicals; • The majority of the work concerns Field welding. • You will be working with Exotic metals. • You speak either Dutch or English. • You are flexible when it comes to working hours. • You are in the possession of a valid VCA certificate. • You are in good health and do not suffer from vertigo. (Should you not have the certificates valid and required in the Netherlands, we can agree on a way to arrange certification.) Physical Requirements • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting. • Will talk and hear to communicate. • Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls. • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools. • May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. • Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms. Will work at heights up to 300’ utilizing proper fall protection. • Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision. • Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long period of times up to 8 hours a day. • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
