Strategic Purchaser

Do you have a team player’s DNA and does it appeal to you to play a key role as a Strategic Purchaser in a large international organisation? In Danfoss Residential Heating (RH) in the Danfoss Heating Segment (DHS) we are looking for a Strategic Purchaser with exhaustive purchasing skills and a solid understanding of project management. You will be responsible for procurement related activities, primarily within the categories Finished Products and Steel & Non Ferrous. Your role will be to ensure continuous quality, logistics and financial improvements in close coordination with our category management and supply chain representatives. Your primary stakeholders are located in Vejle, Viby, Silkeborg and Nordborg so physical flexibility is required. You will report to the Director, RH Procurement, Denmark. Focus on stakeholder management and continuous improvement Your mission will be to secure continuously improving results from key suppliers and to develop high performance suppliers. We expect you to use your global approach towards category strategy execution to accomplish this, and to become an expert within your own categories. Other areas of responsibility are: •Focus on tactical procurement and the ability to execute projects, i.e. by identifying, visualising and mitigating potential risks for the projects •Develop, support and execute the pipeline of TCO savings projects in full compliance with category, product line and supply chain strategies •Secure compliance with our business and technical requirements •Drive and/or participate in cross-functional project teams to execute cost-down activities/projects •Provide support on business growth or footprint projects and support category management in selecting and developing suppliers •Implement Danfoss synergy projects (i.e. Full Potential Purchasing) and drive supplier performance and SLA implementation within your own categories •Drive or participate in make/buy projects within your own categories and facilitate technical cost-down activities Proactive, project management and business oriented You hold a relevant BSc combined with experience from procurement project management and continuous improvement experience in complex environments. Preferably you have strong skills within negotiation and project execution. A large part of your experience is gained in an international company, and you have good analytical skills combined with a basic technical and financial understanding. You are familiar with SAP and related purchasing processes and you are a skilled user of MS Office. Your proactive, committed and supportive approach towards a given task ensures optimal cooperation with all stakeholders. As we are working across countries, fluency in English is a must.
