Mechanic / Technician / Fitter

At Railtechniek van Herwijnen B.V. we are looking for Mechanics / Technicians / Fitters for the installation of our conveyors at project locations within the EU.

Railtechniek van Herwijnen B.V. is one of the market leaders in the development, manufacturing and installation of overhead and floor conveyor systems. 70% of our projects are for international customers, for example Scania, Audi, Cannondale, Gazelle and Palfinger, at various locations throughout Europe.

As a Mechanic / Technician / Fitter you are involved from the start until the completion of a project. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Installing conveyor parts and steel constructions at project locations within the EU;
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures;
• Stay in contact with the project leader.

• Practical work experience in a similar work environment.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
• Ability to operate different hand and machine tools.
• Willing to work on project locations throughout the EU.
• Able to work well in a team.
• Effective English reading and communication skills.

• Welding experience.
• A forklift- and SCC basic certificate.
• Knowledge of Dutch, German or French.
• A valid driving license.

• When you work on a project location abroad, you will be there for 2 – 3 weeks straight. You will be planned in according to your availability.
• Being able to work overtime during a project.
• Special conditions apply for working abroad (outside NL) like overtime hours and fees for each day. Therefore, for example you can earn up to twice as much as your monthly salary depending on the duration of the project.
• The company takes care of all the expenses on location; like transportation, your stay in a hotel and consumptions.
• When needed the company can also provide permanent accommodation nearby our office in Tiel, the Netherland.
