As a Senior Engineer you will be the primary developer for system components, responsible for design, documentation, implementation, unit testing and defect fixing of new and existing systems.

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing features and enhancements to be included in future releases and for handling critical customer problems in real-time. The job requires close interaction with Business Analysis, Development, QA, and Support teams leveraging Microsoft .Net and open source web technologies to develop and maintain the system at an advanced level, while bringing innovation and maintaining best practice through our environment.

Although we primarily use C# we always consider candidates coming from either Java or C++ backgrounds who are willing to migrate across to C#.

Knowledge & Skills

• Developed and debugged C# Multi-tier Client Server Applications
• XML development
  • Manipulating XML with the XML DOM and Ajax
  • XML Transformation Using XSLT and XSL-FO
  • Web Services and XML
• Microsoft SQL Server Database Design and Stored procedure development
• Microsoft .NET Framework: Windows Application Development with Visual C#
  • Creating User Interfaces for Windows Applications
  • Windows Applications Content Creation and Management
  • Customizing and Managing Multithreaded Applications
• Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Development in C#
  • WCF Contracts, Behaviors, and Data Management
  • Securing and Managing a WCF Application
• Self-motivated, detail orientated individual
• Experience with inter-process communication using messaging (e.g. MSMQ)
• Experience working through the product life-cycle using Agile methodologies.
• Experience of object-oriented design, design patterns and application architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a software development distributed environment.
• .Net C# or Java equivalent experience essential
• Appropriate 3rd level qualification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent Documentation skills
