Lead Technician, Measuring Technologies

Do you want to join us on an exciting journey leaving your mark on our processes and assignments which are concentrated around highly demanding technical challenges within measuring technologies and do you want to create advanced measuring tools for Grundfos globally? You will be member of the team of technicians and engineers in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering supporting Grundfos technology projects and Grundfos production companies globally. We work with advanced measuring technologies such as CT X-ray scanning, 3D optical scanning and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). 

 

What is the job about

You will, together with a project manager and a design engineer, be responsible to develop, build and validate core measuring tools. You will  contribute with ideas and suggestions to define right concepts and solutions. You will review designs and give estimates to the project manager for quotations.

The responsibility to plan and organize tasks in own field of responsibility, initiate procurement of parts and sub-components as well as the assembly and validation are included in this role. 

Measuring System Analysis (MSA) is requested to prove the ability to measure what we expect to measure.

For larger projects you will be responsible for integration in production including installation and run-in of measuring programs for CMM and 3D optical scanners.

Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations

  • Reports to manager for AME Measuring Technologies.
  • Close collaboration with requestors of Core Measuring Tools, mainly AME Projects and Grundfos.
  • Production Companies globally.
  • AME Project Team for Core Measuring Tools including Project Manager and Design Engineer. 
  • Lead Engineer for Measuring Technologies.
  • Support function as AME Measuring Lab, Planning & Purchase and group quality.
  • External suppliers and partners for measuring equipment, components and machined sub-parts.

     

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical education within production technology, Measuring Technician or similar.
  • Minimu 5 years of experience from workshop, quality asurance and/or programming of production equipment.  
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings including GPS (Geometrical Product Specifications) + GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of MSA (Measuring System Analysis).
  • Experience within programming and operation productions equipment, preferabble advanced measuring equipment.
  • Catia-expereince might be an additional advantage.
