We are Taste of Home, a family-run take-out and delivery restaurant serving typical Caribbean and Latin American dishes and snacks. We offer mostly fresh, tasty and authentic Colombian and Aruban dishes. There is variation between streetfood and hot dishes. Colombian and Aruban food consists mainly of meat, especially chicken, beef and pork (supplemented with rice, beans and potatoes). Yet for most dishes, we also offer vegetarian or even vegan options. And all of our beef and chicken are Halal. WHY Taste of Home? Food and family play an important role in our culture. Food is a protective coat that makes us feel at home to our family and many others. We came to the Netherlands for our studies without our family. During our study time we always missed home but also the delicious food that was a staple of our household. ABOUT THE WORK: There is a fixed set of standard dishes, with semi and/or finished products being finished by simple operations. You will be employed in all phases of the process, from taking orders, collecting and preparing and packing dishes to checkout. You will also perform additional duties (including replenishing work stocks, tidying and cleaning).
