Draughtsman / Designer

As a Draughtsman-Designer, you will work in a team with 4 other designers, where you will monitor all production drawings. Your tasks are:

• Together with colleagues, you are responsible for the mechanical design of machines and production lines.
• You gather the specifications through consultation with project management and/or customer.
• You work out machines to size, starting from existing machine principles to final production drawings.
• You draw out the machines in 3D (Solid Works) and work closely with production.
• You support sales by listing machine parts and making sales drawings.
• From the mechanical design, you support the mechanical work preparation.
• You follow up on orders and deliveries of 'your' projects.
• You support the follow-up of the production, and you document the final as-built.
• You keep track of drawn parts in the library, and ensure that recurring standard drawings are up to date with any changes in machine designs.

THE PROFILE

• You have a technical bachelor or master degree in (electro) mechanics, industrial production techniques, or equivalent through experience.
• Experience in the sector is definitely a plus, drive a must.
• Machines and technology are your great passion.
• You have technical insight and can easily translate this into correct drawings.
• After internal training, you can work independently, accurately and punctually.
• You communicate well with your colleagues and report to the manager.
• You are proactive, a team player, modest and honest.
• You like a production environment and the dynamics of a smaller, no-nonsense family business.
• Knowledge of English is a must. You are willing to learn Dutch.
