Crane technician
Troubleshooter. Go-getter. Mr. fix-it.
Sarens Projects is for the upcoming 3 years involved in a huge industrial building project, located in Antwerp harbor region. On the project site, we will deliver all kinds of hoisting services, as from the smallest lift till the biggest load-out, in a safe, qualitative and efficient way. To reinforce our project operations crew, we are looking Crane technician.

As a technician on our project site, you are an important link in ensuring that everyone can work efficiently, safely and correctly. Every day, our cranes and equipment are used to carry out the most challenging lifts. You take care of preventive maintenance as well as repairs in case of defects. With the right detective work, you find the appropriate solution and execute it correctly.
Your job as a technician in a nutshell:
- Safety is always top-of-mind
- Regular maintenance of the cranes and equipment on the construction site (telescopic cranes, forklifts, cherry picker,…)
- Troubleshooting in case of material defects. This can be electric, hydraulic or mechanic.
- Repairing defects in the most efficient way.
- Selecting the right spare parts
- Documenting the work and used spare parts
In this position, you will report to the supervisor. But mainly work closely with other technical staff, whilst also being in touch with our workshop. In addition, you will be part of big on-site operational crew : riggers, crane operators, supervisors, site managers, SHEQ coordinators,….
We are looking for an eager team player who likes to roll up their sleeves; A high degree is a nice asset, but at Sarens we attach more importance to the right mentality:

The profile requirements:
- Experience with large vehicles / equipment (cranes, excavators, agricultural vehicles, trucks)
- Preferably you had a technical education
- Knowledge/interest in electricity, hydraulics, mechanics, Welding skills are an asset
- Solid knowledge of English to ensure smooth communication on site
- Flexible towards hours, tasks and location

- Project Based Belgian contract - full-time (possible in a rotation system).
- Estimated time: 3 years
- A gross hourly rate
- Net allowance / working day
