Hilton Malta is seeking to recruit Chefs Tournant.
A Chef Tournant is responsible for leading a section or outlet,
What will I be doing?
As a Chef Tournant, you are responsible for;
- Leading and training the team
- Assisting Junior sous chefs and sous chef on the daily operation of the business
- Ensuring all food preparation meets standards & HACCP regulations
- Complying with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
- Requisitioning food needed for preparation of all meals
- Ensuring mis-en place meets business needs through the effective management of production
- Supporting brand standards through the guidance of the senior team
- Managing food cost controls to contribute to the targets established by the management r
- Managing kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organised and motivated team
- Knowledge of activities in other departments
What are we looking for?
A Chef Tournant will need to have: the following;
- Previous Experience in a similar role
- Approaches food in a creative way
- ITS graduate
- Previous experience in a fine dinning restaurant,Michelin/rosetteor 5 star hotel
- Previous experience as a Chef de partie (minimum 3 years) or as a tournant 1 year.
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Strong supervisory skills
- Knowledge of culinary trends ,innovative and creative
- Relevant qualifications for role
