  About the job

  As Global Head of R&D you will be overall responsible for leading and developing the R&D function including evaluating new concepts to meet customers’ demands. Your primary tasks will be:

  • Manage, lead, and motivate the R&D team organization and ensure correct competencies to meet future demands

  • Lead and strengthen the development of new products, explore new technologies for the products and maintain competitiveness on existing products

  • Identify the future needs and develop R&D strategy with internal stakeholders

  • Ensure a balanced project portfolio

  • Strengthening internal R&D processes in general and align, include, and involve sales and manufacturing accordingly

  • Drive quality focus throughout the organization

   

  What you know

  You have extensive, international managerial and R&D experience from a larger industrial organisation. You have thermal and mechanical knowledge, as well as system/operational understanding. Technical insights from the maritime industry and markets are preferable.

   

  You are a leader with great drive and ability to lead across the organisation and to influence in external networks, with authorities and customers.
