We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Teachers to join our team at a brand-new early childhood education center Sockenstugan opening in January 2025!

About Us: Our new facility, Sockenstugans daghem, will cater to up to 63 children on the Swedish-speaking side, offering a warm, nurturing, and innovative environment where children can thrive. We believe that the foundation of all learning is built through play. Our philosophy centers around learning by playing, where we encourage children to explore, discover, and develop essential life skills in a joyful and engaging atmosphere.

Position Overview: As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. You will design and implement a play-based curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Your creativity, patience, and passion for early childhood education will help create a vibrant learning environment where each child's unique abilities are recognized and nurtured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, play-based learning activities that align with our educational philosophy and our governing principles e.g. laws, curriculum and so on.  
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential. 
  • Write individual learning plans for children
  • Participate in the continuous development of our educational programs, contributing to the overall success of our new center.

Job requirements:

  • A University Degree from Early Childhood Education & Care from an EU /EEA - area 
  • Previous experience working with young children in a play-based learning environment.
  • Fluency in Swedish.
  • A passion for fostering the growth and development of children through play.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

In Finland, all employees working with young children also need to provide a criminal record check and proof of not having respiratory tuberculosis.
