Are you good at building strong relationships with suppliers, and does it appeal to you to play a key role as a Strategic Purchaser in a large international organisation? In Danfoss Drives, we are on the lookout for Strategic Purchasers with exhaustive purchasing skills and a solid understanding of supply chain processes. With focus on quality, delivery and costs, you will challenge suppliers and run continuous improvement activities with the objective of eliminating supply chain waste. You will work from Graasten, join a team of six highly dedicated colleagues and report to the Manager of Purchasing, Supplier Operations Management DK. Focus on stakeholder management and continuous improvement Your mission will be to secure continuous improvement of results from key suppliers and to develop high-performance suppliers. You will run re-sourcing projects, find the right suppliers for Danfoss Drives and align expectations with Danfoss Drives’ new suppliers. You will focus on tactical and strategic procurement and the ability to execute continuous improvement projects. Other areas of responsibility will be to: •Run five days’ planned delivery projects with suppliers •Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers •Run continuous improvement projects with suppliers, incl. root cause problem solving •Develop the strategy for regional sourcing •Benchmark activities and contribute to the technical saving pipeline •Run divisional projects •Handle supplier logistics agreements The position entails approx. 20 travelling days per year. Extensive commercial experience, project management and business skills You hold a relevant BSc in engineering and have commercial experience within purchasing, combined with continuous improvement experience in a complex environment. Preferably, you have strong skills within negotiation and project execution and have knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing. You have gained a large part of your experience within an international company, and you have good analytical skills combined with technical and financial understanding. You are a skilled user of MS Office, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with SAP and related purchasing processes. You are proactive, passionate, committed and have a supportive approach towards tasks in order to ensure optimal cooperation with all stakeholders.
