Strategic Commodity Manager (f/m/d)
- Ensures the delivery of products and services in a way that drives customer trust, organizational value and competitive advantage.
- Develop commodity strategic plans
- Coordinate early supplier involvement in line with global supply chain strategies in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers' expertise to optimize cost, quality and producibility.
- Lead negotiations, agree on cost model and identify cost reduction opportunities with assigned suppliers
- Negotiate LTA (lead time agreement) with main strategic suppliers
- Manage purchasing data in SAP
- Regularly evaluates quality and performance risks with the preferred supply base selection, in alignment with the Supplier Engineering group
- Technical education or economic (university) or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in contract management
- Experience in sourcing technical parts like plastics, metal, electric, sensorics, analyzers, fluid systems components
- Desirable experience in semi-conductor, aerospace, automotive, medical or chemical sectors
- Three to five years’ experience in Supply Chain activities
- Excellent English & German language skills favorable
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group: F (https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/KV_2021/Abschluss/Mindestgehaltstabelle.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.
