Service Team Member - Restaurant / Bar

You are our hotel hero at the restaurant and in the bar. You meet the guest on a daily basis and take care of their physical well-being. Guests would appraise your efforts if you provide great service and make them satisfied. And this appraisal will be shared by many, as long as the reviews are published in the Internet and our whole team will be happy for you.

Your responsibilities at the restaurant:

• At the restaurant you are the expert able to advise our guests regarding the food and drinks we offer. You know what the daily offers on the buffet are, and you also know our à-la-carte offers, the seasonal offers, as well as the drinks menue from A to Z.
• To let our guests enjoy our outstanding restaurant offer, ensure that the tables are covered properly and that the used dishes are carried away quickly.
• You guide the guest to their tables and take their orders, put those into the POS system, give orders to the kitchen team, and in the end you produce the bill and settle it with the guest.
• You are attentive enough to see at once that the guest needs something. You are there to help in no time.
• Cleanliness and hygiene, as well as compliance with our standards, are an absolute must for you.
• During parties and banquets, no matter if it is a small group or an event with more than 100 people, you keep an overview and take care of every guest's well-being together with your colleagues.
• You can manage guests' complaints professionally and make sure that the guest feels themselves well looked after.

Your responsibilities at the bar: 

• At the bar you are the expert able to provide tips regarding the offered drinks or create a concoction that exactly matches the guest's taste.
• You know the most popular drinks and all other drinks on the menue as well, you prepare and mix the drinks professionally following the recipe or exercise your creative skills when necessary.
• The bar is your realm, you are responsible for the set up, as well as for the implementation of our hygiene standards.
• Before the bar opens in the evening, you have prepared everything to provide for a quick start as soon as the first guests are there to place an order. After the last guests leave, you make sure to bring everything in order before you go.
• You take care of the guests from taking their order to getting the bill paid, keep an eye on all areas of the bar and you notice at once that a guest needs a new drink. 
• During parties or banquets, no matter for small or big groups, you keep an overview and take care of every guest's well-being together with your colleagues.
• You can manage guests' complaints professionally and make sure that the guest feels themselves well looked after.

You 'personal settings': 

• You are a committed and enthusiastic host that loves to work directly with the guest.
• You are eager to learn, interested in food and drinks, and have all our gastronomic offers at your fingertips to impress the guests with your knowledge.
• You have strong communication skills, both in German and in English, you are friendly and can easily find an approach to deal with a demanding guest.
• Selling food and drinks is in your blood, you can consult guests on gastronomic topics and promote our offers.
• Even in stressful moments you stay calm and friendly and keep an overview.
• You are experienced in gastronomy business due to a completed training as a restaurant / hotel industry professional, or you have worked at a restaurant or bar before as a service team member.
• At the bar you are in high demand as an artist or performer as well: behind the counter you are welcome to create fancy drinks or entertain you guests.
• At the bar you are also a listener and interlocutor for our guests that love a good chat at all times.
