Research Assistant – Thin Film Solar Cells (Ref.53.25.436)
Overview
The Salomé Research Group (Nanofabrication, Optoelectronics, and Energy Applications) is dedicated to developing nanofabrication and applications for optoelectronics and energy. Focused on developing nanofabrication solutions for a diverse set of applications, via several mechanisms such as competitive funding projects and industrial services. The group aims to keep advancing the state-of-the-art in several areas.
We’re looking for a Research Assistant to join our team under the project MI3S - Sensorized and Sustainable Solar Waterproof Membrane.
Job Duties
The job duties will be the following:
- CIGS Solar cell fabrication;
- Development of metallization with screen printing, evaporation and inkjet printing;
- Solar cell characterisation using J-V and EQE.
Education
- MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Microfabrication, or related areas including Engineering.
Experience and Technical Skills
- Characterisation and/or deposition of Thin films;
- Solar cells/photovoltaics.
Other Valued Skills
- Experience with sputtering;
- Experience with inkjet.

- Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail;
- Good communication skills;
