QUALITY ENGINEER

A Quality Engineer’s role is to ensure solutions are developed from day one with quality in mind. A Quality Engineer knows how things work and they always strive to improve this. This is not just a testing role – a Quality Engineer is expected to do much more – consult on risks, sustainability and non-functional requirements in planning phase, assure best possible implementation during development, assure automation happens where it makes sense, test the implementation against all requirements and finally assure seamless deployment or upgrade during the release. 

Requirements:

• A solid techy background
• Be familiar with different testing techniques
• Testing experience in a software development process (ideally in Scrum)
• Experience in test management (writing test plans, defining test cases, etc.)
• Knowledge of setting up a testing framework
• Experience of writing automated tests
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent coding skills
• Good OOP skills, be familiar with continuous integration systems
• Knowledge and interest in Agile software development methodologies
• Experience of working on web applications
• Excellent communication skills and very good use of English
• Ability to turn attention to detail and tendency for perfectionism
• A drive to learn
• A fun and positive attitude
