Do you want to join our journey towards professional product management? Do you like to be in the driver’s seat securing market-oriented business direction? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for. As the Product Manager, Solenoid Valves you will be the owner of part of Automatic Controls’ extensive portfolio, being responsible for growing the profitable business within the product group globally (product life cycle management).

You will mainly be working out of our office in Kolding, Denmark, but you have to be prepared to spend approx. 25% of your working hours travelling.

Work out and deploy clear, winning product strategies

Your main responsibilities for your share of our portfolio will be to:

•Be accountable for the gross profit of assigned products by guiding a cross-functional product team of experts from Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and Supply Chain

•Drive the business result by overseeing all aspects of assigned products to create and deliver superior customer satisfaction

•Apply a market-driven approach to optimising your product portfolio and services through in-depth customer and market insights, translating customer needs to technical product specifications

•Work out and deploy clear, winning product strategies and ensure alignment of underlying activities and business plans

•Prioritise and track changes and new development projects

•Evaluate product group specific project ideas in terms of strategic fit and overall business impact and prepare decisions to be taken by business unit management

•Develop convincing business cases as basis for portfolio decisions

•Follow up on existing and identify new business opportunities, identify main improvement potentials – technically and commercially

•Create and review high-level product-specific forecasts for volumes and production capacity

Global mindset and business acumen

You have a relevant business background or education (an engineering or marketing degree). We imagine you having substantial experience from sales and/or product management as well as solid business expertise, such as strategy, finance and planning. With this, you are able to efficiently reconcile strategic and tactical goals and drive the implementation. As you will execute your plans with the support of individuals over whom you maintain no direct authority, we expect that you are self-confident with the ability to lead others. Your global mindset and excellent communication skills allow you to efficiently communicate across all levels of the organisation. You are interested in working with people from different cultures. You are a well-organised individual with excellent analytical skills, who is service-minded, self-motivated, ambitious and energetic, curiously striving for your own and your subordinates’ development. You are dedicated to creating impact, and you do what it takes to “get the job done”.

Ideally, you have several years of experience in the refrigeration industry or corresponding vocational training.
