Job description

The junior backend developer develops server side applications, web services and API’s supporting the senior developer. The senior should have the ability to understand requirements and functional design. The junior must be able to create (client friendly) documentation for all services and or API’s and assists the frontend team during implementation.

Responsibilities

·        Ability to develop closely following the functional design, ensuring the wishes of the client and end-user.

·        Working with Creative and Technical teams and external companies on a growing portfolio of Social Media applications and games.

·        Understanding of technical designs and Keep in control of project timelines and specifications, company`s design, coding and performance tuning standards.

·        Working closely with other development units in the company to share information regarding application subject matters and know-how.

                                                                                                                                                                                                              Job requirements

·        Bachelor's Degree is required;

·        Possess good experience with PHP, MySQL, XML and JSON;

·        Solid Understanding of OOP;

·        Some knowledge of Javascript (jQuery), HTML (5) / CSS (3) is a plus;

·        Previous experience in the mobile area is a big plus;

·        Some experience with some PHP Framework (Yii, Zend, Symfony, etc.)

·        Basic Knowledge of Design and Architectural patterns such as:

• MVC
• ORM
• Three layers
• Etc.

·        Experience in one or more of the following techniques and software is a big plus:

• Source control system (Mercurial, GIT, SVN)
• Postman
• Jenkins
• Linux
• TDD
• PHPUnit

·        Basic understanding of networking and interconnectivity

o   HTTP

o   Security

o   Web services

·        Experience in large IT projects is a plus;

·        Experience working inside a team is plus.

·        Communicative, accurate and pragmatic;

·        Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills;

·        At least 2 years of experience as a developer;

·        Good knowledge of English spoken and written;
