Company Description:
Our client a growing and dynamic main contractor based on the North Offaly/Kildare border and operating primarily in the Midlands / Dublin areas, is currently looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for projects ranging from commercial to industrial, civil, fit-out, pharma, and residential.
Role/Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
" Preparing project budgets and procurement schedules.
" Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
" Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports and subcontractor payment recommendations.
" Overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers, and external service providers.
" Coordinating procurement of materials not included in works packages.
" Monitoring and administering the construction contract and reporting on delays/disruptions.
" Leading value engineering process.
" Agreeing subcontractor variations and ensuring full recovery under the main contract.
" Compiling and updating project cash flow projections and reporting to accounts department.
" Preparing and negotiating final accounts.
" Assisting in tendering for new projects.
" Will report directly to and work closely with the Senior Management to ensure company business objectives are met and expected project profit margins are exceeded.
" Must develop and maintain good working relationships with all project stakeholders (internally and externally)
" Assist in conducting site feasibility studies, assist with program development, and liaise with design team members.
" Provide advice at the various stages of design development, comment on constructability issues.
Candidate Requirements:
" Quantity Surveying qualification and 3-7 years post qualification experience.
" Ideally will have experience of a range of projects including Residential, Commercial, Retail, Pharma and Public works.
" Good IT skills with competency in relevant surveying/ accounting packages. Knowledge of Eque 2 preferable.
" Proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
" Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
" Ability to coordinate a number of varied projects.
" Preferably based in the north Leinster / Midlands region.
" Safe pass
Salary and Benefits:
50-80K DOE
