Global Tradeshow Specialist
Through brand building, partnership facilitating events and leads generating tradeshows, MarCom actively supports the Core & Clear strategy for profitable growth, building customer loyalty and ONE Danfoss. The global Events & Tradeshow Specialist will work very closely with the entire global MarCom team to define, plan, and execute strategies and tactics that align with those of global marketing and sales organizations as they relate to company events and tradeshows. Events and tradeshows span from managing major customer events and tradeshows, supporting sales partner event activity and various local shows, or providing direction to other marketing-related events and seminars. The impact and influence of the Tradeshow Specialist’s work will have a global focus and reach a global audience. The position will work with local, regional and global colleagues from various departments on a daily basis, and priorities will be set with a global events and tradeshow mindset. The position will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task, be deadline driven and operate with a data driven mindset documenting costs, business opportunities and results Key Tasks & Responsibilities: •Leads global trade shows and other major customer events – from pre-planning, stakeholder kick-offs and organizational set-up; to coordination and development of marketing materials & graphics, show-ready product preparation; and include close time management, KPI definition and tracking set-up, and post event reporting. •In leading the planning for global events, tradeshows, or similar MarCom driven event activity, the position works with internal representatives from business units, sales channels, and other relevant stakeholders. •Globally supports and provides oversight of local events and local trade shows providing direction for branding based on corporate CVI guidelines as well as aligned messaging with overall company goals and PS marketing communication strategies. •Helps the MarCom Distribution champions in delivering the Distribution Support Strategy with respect to supporting Sales Partner driven events •Manages the collaboration with event and tradeshow vendors, ensures an effective web shop set-up for the global stakeholders, and oversees contracts and service support agreements with external vendors. In this context, the position joins cross-segment teams within the Danfoss Group. •Has ownership of events and trade show tools, e.g. iPad expo tool and booth reporting apps, include ensuring suitable set-up with web and Salesforce. •Ensures sufficient and timely internal communication to relevant •Ensures sufficient and timely internal communication to relevant stakeholders internally around events and trade shows, and provides input to external communication elements promoting trade shows and events. •Manages and provides oversight on assignments being conducted by administrative support in PS or outsourced to vendor, primarily relating to: Logistical, accommodations, registrations, on-site services, etc. •Provides analytical reporting and written summaries evaluating all tradeshow and event activities – encompassing lead generation set-up, tracking & KPI follow-up, Plus/Delta and ROI, as well as, an event overview report containing event highlights and key learnings. •Manages detailed budgeting and thorough cost follow-ups for all events, tradeshows, meetings and related activities. •Will manage project budgets and timelines - will need to work with leadership to determine what the overall project budget and timelines are •Manages the promotional item program for Danfoss PS include ensuring appropriate selection effective self-service set-up. (Specific for this role) •Performs other related responsibilities and duties as directed by leader. •Development of new materials, setting-up showroom environments, etc. From 2017 and onwards, the ADC promotion is handled as normal contents and showroom updating under this position •The incumbent must have or develop the ability to create projects and programs that can easily be reported on in a valuable way that will help define if the program or project is a success. In order to do this, all projects and programs must begin with clearly defined goals and objectives, created by the Event & Tradeshow Specialist. The KPIs must align with overall KPIs of supporting profitable growth and an optimized engine room Requirements: •Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Event Planning or Business Communications •5+ years’ related experience required (ideally supporting marketing within an event planning role with an emphasis in Tradeshow coordination in global markets/locations. •Prior, relevant experience in marketing development and promotion in a manufacturing environment, preferably OEM or mobile equipment markets strongly preferred Preferred Skills/Experience •Sound project management with proven facilitation & communication skills. •Must be able to view the big picture, yet manage the details for all project planning and logistics from beginning to end. This position requires a person who is decisive, creative, organized, and motivated to complete tasks with time-sensitive deadlines and within budget. •Very good coordination skills amongst multiple stakeholders including the ability to find common grounds and make decisions. •Solid business acumen and general financial understanding. •Data driven – using measures and KPIs is an integral part of business and having an attentive mindset to feedback and corrective action •Professional English skills, and ability to present concepts and communicate verbally with clarity and impact to all levels of the organization. •High level of proficiency in IT tools (e.g. Microsoft Office - especially Excel, PowerPoint, MS SharePoint) and quick grasp of other tools. •Profound knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM system include Marketing Automation tools •Initiator that functions well within a fast-paced environment. •Enjoys working in a multicultural environment having high communication and net-working capabilities. •Global and cultural openness and awareness while maintaining a team mind-set when working with colleagues and leadership at all levels. •Willingness to travel/days out of office up to 15%.
