Atlas Copco is a Swedish company but the global headquarters of its compressor business is in Wilrijk, where a total of around 3,000 people are employed.

As a designer you work in a team on the development of vacuum pumps. You are responsible for the complete design from conceptual to production phase. You realize designs that meet the predetermined product specifications. You define and assess technical solutions in close consultation with your colleagues. You build expertise in the manufacturability and cost structure of components and you look for opportunities to facilitate the construction of the machines in production and maintenance at customers through service. You support production and service by continuously improving the current series. You create and maintain modular parts lists in the ERP system. You consciously deal with safety and quality of the design and you carry out the associated risk analyses. You work in an international organization where communication and collaboration are of great importance. You delegate tasks and follow up on delivery and quality.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electromechanics or equivalent through experience General technical knowledge: strong in mechanics, electrical knowledge, component production processes and assembly techniques Knowledge of Inventor and safety procedures Good knowledge of English
