Draftsman or CAD Designer at Sarens Projects? Then you love to work with AutoCAD 2D. You design and draw technically inventive construction drawings and deliver it to the Project Managers who are going to execute those heavy lifting and engineered transport projects in real life, according to your plans! Due to a number of additional challenging projects, we are looking for a CAD Designer who can work efficiently with AutoCAD 2D. In this position you design various technical drawings. In this way all parties involved get a clear picture of the project that needs to be carried out and the way in which it should be executed.
Your job as a CAD Designer in a nutshell:
- You review and analyze existing drawings, sketches or other relevant documentation provided by internal stakeholders and report any problems or missing information.
- You produce drawings in AutoCAD 2D, in accordance with the Sarens standards.
- You realize, in consultation with other Designers and Project Engineers, the construction drawings for the implementation of the 'Heavy Lift & Transport' projects (e.g. lifting plans).
- You ensure that the drawings are of high quality, efficient, safe and correct, in collaboration with a Project Engineer.
- You offer solutions to draw efficiently.
In this position you will be part of the engineering department and you will report to a Team Leader Engineering.

The profile requirements:
- Technical Bachelor or equivalent through experience.
- > 2 years of experience in a similar position (e.g. Structural Draftsman, Industrial Draftsman, Technical Designer...). - Motivated recent graduates are also welcome!
- Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Fluent with the computer: AutoCAD 2D, MS Office...
- Interest in technology – Technical insight and a basic knowledge of mechanics.
