Uber is looking for a Business Systems - Applications Engineer who is experienced in writing programs, reports, interfaces integrations for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and data-warehouse/data-marts/decision support systems built on Oracle technologies. The developer should be capable of working on all technical and preferably functional aspects of the Oracle E- Business suite modules and designing and developing programs and procedures around Oracle Applications and Oracle data- warehouses.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement RICE components as per business requirements using various Oracle tools following Oracle eBusiness suite development standards
  • Work with Functional Analysts on Oracle E-Business modules such as Oracle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, iProcurement, Cash Management and Oracle General Ledger.
  • Interact with peer developers, DBAs, Unix Administrators, System Administrators to diagnose and implement patches/bug fixes in production environment
  • Use various Oracle diagnostics tools and scripts to diagnose production issues, identify and implement fixes in collaboration with Oracle DBAs, System Administrators, UNIX administrators etc.
  • Develop, implement and maintain integrations with Oracle E-Business suite and third-party applications
  • Work closely with Functional Analysts and Business users to design, implement and test application extensions, conversions, interfaces and reports
  • Develop technical documentation as required

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing interfaces, extensions and reports in Oracle eBusiness Suite environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.
  • Complete understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite technical architecture and underlying table structures and their usage to design and develop efficient program units
  • Hands-on development / support experience of Oracle E-Business suite R12
  • Experience in developing RICE components in AP, AR, GL, PO, FA and Cash Management modules
  • Proficiency in SQL Plus, PL/SQL, Reports 10g, Forms 10g, Discoverer Reports, Oracle Workflow, SQL Loader, BI (XML) Publisher and LINUX scripting.
  • Complete understanding of data-warehouse, OLAP systems, star-schemas and data-marts
  • Experience working in systems handling high volume financial transactions is desirable.
  • Experience working with Toad, MS SQL Server, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) or other Enterprise reporting solutions
  • Strong Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) skills
  • Self-motivated with an ability to take up initiatives and execute tasks with full ownership and deliver agreed upon deliverables in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
