Bistro Chef / Kitchen Manager
Job Description:
La Dimora del Pensatore, a small boutique hospitality structure in the countryside of Noto, is looking for a highly independent and proactive professional to take full charge of our bistro kitchen.
We are a small team and value initiative, responsibility, and creativity.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the bistro, which caters to a maximum of 7 to 12 guests per service. This role offers full ownership of the kitchen, from planning the daily menu to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Since the kitchen is open and accessible to guests, the ability to interact warmly and professionally with visitors is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Independently manage all kitchen operations
- Create and set a daily menu based on seasonal products
- Maintain the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards
- Interact with guests when needed, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere
- Ensure smooth service and an efficient workflow
- Collaborate with the small onsite team when required
- Strong independence and ability to work with initiative
- Previous experience in kitchen management or as a chef
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting with guests in an informal, open-kitchen setting
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Knowledge of English is an asset; Italian is a plus
