Rifugio Castiglioni Marmolada
About the organisation
Rifugio Castiglioni Marmolada is a family-run hiking refuge, with a restaurant and rooms for the overnight stay. It is an historic building, built in 1906, has undergone renovations and expansions, but still maintains its history over time.
We are at the Fedaia pass at the foot of the Marmolada, in the hearth of Dolomites, our customers are mostly hikers, who arrives by fee,t but the refuge can also be reached by car and bus.
Hikers who stop to sleep generally follow the Alta via 2 (2 weeks' walk from Bressanone to Feltre), or the Munich-Venice (1 month's walk), they stop one night and leave the following morning. We have rooms and dormitories with bunk beds and shared bathroom.
We try to offer our guests the hospitality and friendliness typical of a family environment.
Next to the refuge there is a bar also managed by us, and the refuge acts as an operational base for the Rifugio Capanna Punta Penia, at the top of the Marmolada 3343m, which we manage together.
The work is classic in the refuge, it is managed in shifts, interlocked with each other so as to cover the entire day and the days off. Should you be interested to work with us, we ask for availability for an interview to discuss the various aspects in detail.
