Regione VENETO
O organizaciji
The Veneto Region
The Veneto Region is located in northeastern Italy, bordering Friuli Venezia Giulia to the east, Trentino-Alto Adige to the north, Emilia-Romagna to the south, and Lombardy to the west. It also faces the Adriatic Sea to the southeast.
The territory is highly diverse, ranging from the industrial and productive lowlands, to the mountainous areas of the Dolomites, and to the coastal and lagoon areas along the Adriatic (including the city of Venice).
Veneto Lavoro
Veneto Lavoro is the regional employment agency of the Veneto Region. It is responsible for active labour policies, including the planning, management, evaluation, and support of employment services.
In practice, citizens, young people, workers, and companies can rely on public employment centres, accredited operators, and related services coordinated by Veneto Lavoro to receive guidance, access training, apply for jobs, or find staff.
Labour Market in Veneto: Sector by Sector
The labour market in Veneto is growing, although the pace has slightly slowed down.
Here is an overview of the main sectors and their current situation:
- Services: still the main engine of employment. For example, in the first nine months of 2025, the services sector recorded +37,300 new jobs.
- Agriculture: shows signs of growth, with +18,400 jobs in the same period.
- Industry/Manufacturing: although traditionally strong, it is showing signs of slowdown. In 2024, the industrial sector saw a net job increase of only +4,700, much lower than in previous years.
- Construction: this sector also shows positive trends, with a rise in job opportunities during the first quarter of 2025.
- Tourism and related services: the post-pandemic recovery has been strong, but in 2025 the start of the season was slower, affecting hiring levels.
Sectors to Focus On
Given the current situation, the most promising opportunities are in:
- Business and personal services (e.g. customer service, internal logistics, e-commerce)
- Specialised agriculture, winemaking, and high-quality agri-food production
- Construction and technical building roles, especially in restoration, renovation, and energy efficiency
- Tourism, hospitality, and related activities (including seasonal or temporary work)
- Digital transformation and ICT skills, especially in companies updating their processes
- Industry and manufacturing, but with a need for updated technical profiles (e.g. automation, maintenance, mechatronics)
It is important to stay flexible and develop skills that match the evolving demands of the job market.
