Novo Nordisk Manufacturing Kalundborg, Denmark
Since 1969, Novo Nordisk Manufacturing Kalundborg has been a cornerstone in our production of API. With more than 50 years of expertise in large-scale biotech manufacturing, we are today the world’s largest insulin producing facility. Our 4,500 employees at our manufacturing hub produce half of the world’s insulin, and a number of biopharmaceutical products. Together, we make a difference every day for more than 40 million people living with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
We are growing our manufacturing hub
From 2022-2029 we will invest 60 billion DKK to expand existing facilities in our manufacturing hub in Kalundborg, Denmark, for the current and future portfolio within serious chronic diseases. This will establish additional capacity across the entire global value chain from manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) to packaging, with the vast majority being invested in API capacity. With the investment, more than 1200 new jobs will be created.

Who we are looking for
Currently we are hiring many new colleagues in various roles to our manufacturing hub. This includes but is not limited to Automation and Robotics Engineers, Process Scientists, Process Engineers, Process Operators, Project Managers, Associate Managers and Quality Assurance Professionals.
We are also looking for recent or soon-to-be graduates to our Manufacturing Talent Programme and university collaborations.
Is Danish a requirement?
Novo Nordisk employs people from all over the world. Our corporate language is English, so Danish is not a requirement.
