Our services:
Riihimäki city´s integration services provides guidance and advisory services for all foreigners in Riihimäki.
Customers of the settlement services are foreigners who moved to Riihimäki for work or study along with their family members. We offer information about different services and direct our clients accordingly. We are happy to answer all questions related to settling in Riihimäki and, if necessary, arrange a meeting with the newcomer and his or her family at our office. We can also arrange for an interpreter to be present at our meeting. We help those who settle in Riihimäki in specific ways, practically and with a low threshold, in matters of everyday life and in adapting to the new living environment.

Other central field, where Riihimäki is a forerunner, is defence industry. Riihimäki city and Finnish Defence Forces have built cooperation which focuses to create new innovations and high-skilled jobs. Define (Defence Innovation Network Finland) is a project led by the city of Riihimäki, the purpose of which is to build an internationally high-level defence and security industry network. The goal is to bring together the best experts from the military and civilian side to create new innovations that serve both military needs and society as a whole at the same time. Define -network that is built through the project, has already got broad international visibility among other things via MaanpuolustusAreena -event, which took place at Riihimäki this summer. One recent new aspect for the Define network is a new project Dual Use Accelerator, which focuses on dual-use technologies. This is a brand new thing in Finland.
Our city grows and develops, taking into account the needs of the people and businesses of Riihimäki in a variety of ways.
